I will give a 0 star if I can. The waitress is being very rude to us and serve with no patient. I thought this place will be good but it really disappointed me. I would never come to this place again.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the Boston area. Their weekend "dim sum" menu has some of our highlights: amazing turnip cake, always reliable small steamed buns and a family loved spicy beef noodle soup. Personally, I am also a fan of the pig's ears salad, but it can be too spicy and not the easiest thing to digest.The service is absolutely "no frills", and sometimes they may appear a bit harsh, but then you understand that they're just busy; and despite that they always welcome my kids requests for fortune cookies on our way out.

Good chinese fried dough, if you are here for lunch on Sunday, will have to be there before 11:30am for line up queue.

Been going here for years. Like 40 years. Their hot and sour soup and Peking raviolis are the best soup and dumplings outside of Chinatown. Other great dishes include West Hot Cod, Green Beans with Shredded Pork, shredded beef with Peking Sauce, Chung Shin Special Fried Noodles and their Beef with Broccoli is top notch. Their food is always fresh and their prices are super reasonable. It’s our go to suburban Chinese restaurant. Also their weekend dim sum menu is amazing, but get there early or be prepared to wait.

Absolutely horrendous service. They don’t pay attention and just seat people randomly and not in the order they come. Multiple times I watched people of the same party size, who arrived after people already in line, get a number from the hostess and be seated before. This did not only happen to us.

The best place to visit for dim sum near Boston. Everything was great. Make sure you try the bread as it's a house specialty. Arrive early on Sunday to ensure a seat in the first wave. Worth the wait if you don't get in when it opens.

We accidently arrive 30 mins before they open so we actually were the first to get in. Even though it was crowded and turned out that we are not the first to place order, we still were the first couple of tables placed order.After a while, I saw the neighbor tables, who actually placed order after us, already served exact dished we ordered, I asked the guy why our dishes were not served yet. Surprisingly, the guy asked me stop complaining and making trouble, he will check the kitchen in the back. Actually after he checked the kitchen, our order served fairly quick. Then I tried to be nice to explain that I am just come in to have my lunch. I have no reason or any intention to make trouble here. Right there, another guy passed by and very rudely said to me “it’s just food, eat it!”I can’t believe what I heard! Such a rude guy with so bad manner!Honestly, there food is OK but I swear I will never go to such a terrible place again!

Better than average Chinese food

Chung-Shin Yuan always seems to have a line before it opens on the weekends. After the initial first seating, the line died down dramatically. Perhaps my memory is bad, but I had thought they had people constantly waiting in the past. I'd describe the food as "homey dim sum" with the regional focus on Taiwan. Simple, direct dishes without any fussy "interpretation." Service was fast and efficient. And with fewer people waiting to get in, I felt more relaxed to eat without the pressure to leave and make room for the next guests.

What a great spot! My Chinese friend told me about this place so we tried it for lunch and boy was it worth it. The food was delicious and fresh and very reasonably priced. The restaurant looked very nice and clean and the staff was friendly. This may be the new go to Chinese food place for me and my friends!

I've been eating here since the early 1990's. food has always been great here! Best value in Nonantum for Chinese food, especially their sit down lunch. Worth a visit!

Best Chinese food in the area, hands down. I have been going here for years. Dinner menu is absolutely delicious. Taiwanese brunch on the weekends is very authentic and there will always be a line out the door before they open. It can be overwhelming the first time you go but try the beef noodle soup, fried dough and soy milk at the least. Cannot go wrong here.

Dim sum is really good. But make sure you get there early, there’s always a line when it opens on weekends. Steamed pork with yam (粉蒸排骨) is my favorite. You can get soy milk(dou jiang), you tiao etc here as well. Small place, so it’s a little packed/crowded if you don’t mind. I would not recommend going on weekdays as the taste seems to be subpar.

Been coming here for 25 years. Still our go-to for Taiwanese lunch.always busy, so come early or come late (some good stuff will be out).

Dim sum, first time, delicious.Edit: it's been over a year since our first visit, and we have got back many, many times. This is one of our favorite places to pop in for breakfast, but we don't go as often as we like because we wouldn't be able to fit in our house. The Taiwanese noodles are one of our favorites as are the turnip cake. I personally love the five Spice sandwich, and the pan-fried buttons are always go to.
